Thanks to Mary, who started this whole thing, while she delivered furniture from the back of her pick up to over 50 needy families! We now have the few more hands, good backs and pick up trucks- to bring us to the next level. Enter our friend Suzie, our first, official volunteer organizer! She and a ban of wonderful volunteers gearing up to help furnish these homes! EVERY other month we'll pick up items for anyone who can not bring donations to us; then when someone is in need, the team will put together a truck load and deliver! ________________________________________________ MARCH 3rd is the next Furniture Drive! With the need so great, once we get items they will be distributed to a Veteran within 7-10 days. If you would clean, vacuum, wash items through a dishwasher prior, that would be most helpful! We want our items to help someone transition quickly, not have to wait for/have to clean donated items.
No mattresses being accepted at this time. All donors will get a confirmation email/call and a tax deductible receipt once pick up is complete.
